Senior SANDTA tutor. Gillian has been spearheading the development of the five day Introductory Courses.
Gillian is a physiotherapist with a special interest in working with families and children with cerebral palsy. She trained under Jennifer Bryce to become a Bobath tutor at the Bobath Centre in London and is now a senior SANDTA Co-ordinator Instructor. For over ten years, she worked as a chief physiotherapist at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto where she was responsible for the paediatric physiotherapy service and the cerebral palsy clinic.
She has also worked at Elim Hospital in Limpopo and at Forest Town School for children with cerebral palsy in Johannesburg in addition to spending time working and teaching at the Bobath Centre in London. Gillian is currently Executive Director of Malamulele Onward. Run introductory, basic and advanced courses both nationally and internationally
Gillian has a special interest in developing and strengthening therapy services for children with cerebral palsy living in deprived and disadvantaged settings in Africa.
